North Riverside Monarch Festival • October 3, 2026
Violet and I attended the North Riverside Monarch Festival to learn, exchange ideas, and connect with others who care about pollinators and our environment.
We also had the opportunity to speak with MWRD Commissioner Eira L. Corral Sepúlveda. One thought from our conversation stayed with me: education is where change begins. When we understand nature and why protecting it matters, we can make more thoughtful choices.
This experience reminded me why I love learning and sharing what I discover. A conversation, a new idea, or a small discovery can inspire us to take action in our own gardens and communities.
