Each candle has its own natural color, texture and character.
Beeswax is produced naturally by honey bees to build the honeycomb inside their hive. After the honey is harvested, the wax can be carefully cleaned, melted and given a new life.
I use this beautiful natural wax to hand-pour and handcraft my candles in a variety of shapes inspired by bees, honeycomb and the hive.
• Naturally produced by honey bees
• Burns with a warm, beautiful golden flame
• Naturally has a subtle honey-like aroma
• No artificial fragrance is needed
• Renewable and biodegradable
• Can burn slowly when properly wicked and cared for
• Each candle is naturally unique
Fresh beeswax begins very light—almost white. As the comb is used inside the hive, its color can gradually change through contact with honey, pollen, propolis and other natural materials from the hive.
That is why natural beeswax can range from creamy white and pale yellow to deep golden shades.
I love these natural variations. They are part of the story of the hive, and I do not expect every batch of beeswax—or every candle—to look exactly the same.
From raw beeswax and natural honeycomb to the finished candle, each piece is prepared in small batches and made by hand.
Small variations in color and appearance are natural and make every candle a little different. Shapes and designs vary depending on what I am making at the time.
Price: $3–$10 each, depending on size and design.
